ioquake3 software package provides Game engine for 3D first person shooter games, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install ioquake3
ioquake3 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the ioquake3 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ioquake3 *
You will get with ioquake3 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
